The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has decided that two “CRA Basics” workshops weren’t enough, so one more will be scheduled before the end of the calendar year.
The final CRA Basics workshop of 2021 will take place on Dec. 7 in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 620 E. Main St. It will last from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“Before the year ends and everyone gets into the holiday season, we wanted to give residents one last chance to learn more about what the CRA is and what we do,” said Jane Waters, CRA Project Manager. “This is also a great opportunity for them to learn how to get involved. This could be a great way to make a difference in 2022.”
Attendees will learn how CRAs are established, what the governing criteria are and how to join committees. There will be a presentation regarding the CRA’s workplan goals and objectives, followed by a question-and-answer session.
Those who attend will receive a copy of the CRA’s 2020 annual report, a copy of the approved workplan and all slides presented during the workshop. To ensure supply needs are met, those planning to attend should RSVP by emailing CRAinfo@hainescity.com or calling 863-421-9938.
