The Haines City Police Department’s COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) unit is offering children a night of fun. It will also give parents an opportunity to enjoy a night out.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 12, the Lake Eva Aquatic Center will be available to children from ages 5 to 15 for an event called “Flip Flops & Cops”. The facility will be fully staffed with food and drink provided to children in attendance.

For parents wishing to register their children, a waiver form will need to be signed by the end of the business day on Wednesday, July 10. Parents can attend, but are asked to note that they plan to come when waivers are turned in. Waivers can be picked up at the Haines City Police Department, located at 35400 U.S. 27, during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or requested via email.

To request a form online or for more information, email Public Information Officer Mike Ferguson at Forms can be returned in person, by scan or by fax.
